- Open the software named ATT 8711 or 8000
- User name is ADM
- Password is 8711
- Highlight Digital Communicator RPP Menu and press enter
- Highlight Dial Direct To Digital Communicator and press enter
- Enter the phone number the panel is on
- Enter the 6 digit passcode (default is 111111) and press enter
- While the phone is ringing, have the tech/customer move the dip switch in the dialer from remote to local
- When panel connects, a new screen will appear. Highlight Upload Digital Communicator and press enter
- When complete, highlight Change/Show Digital Communicator and press enter

Highlight Communication Setup and press enter. From this location you can change the account number, receiver phone number,
and format by pressing enter on the desired field and entering the new information, or toggling with the spacebar. Press esc when complete.
Receiver 2 information is not necessary
- Highlight Zone Alarm Control Setup and press enter. From this location you can change the report codes for the zones. (Not usually done) press esc when complete
- Highlight Status/Shunt/Test Setup and press enter. From this location you can change the report codes for Status, Bypassing, and Monthly test by using the spacebar to toggle. Press esc when complete
- The system passcode can be changed from the main screen by scrolling down and highlighting Pass Code Communication and pressing enter, then entering the new passcode, (Default is 111111) followed by enter again
- Load differences to the panel, then disconnect. Once disconnected, have the tech/customer move the dip switch in the dialer from local to remote and test the system
